Meet the Author

For me, storytelling is about creating characters and scenes that feel familiar—people you recognise, even if their world looks nothing like your own. I love books you can settle into, get a little lost in, and gradually realise you really want to know what happens next.
I’m especially drawn to stories that mix adventure with ancient societies and history, particularly when they focus on the untold stories—the underdogs, the outsiders, and those where it’s okay to be different. Stories where being brave doesn’t mean being the loudest person in the room.
Although the characters in my books are young, the ideas aren’t limited by age. We all have strengths and abilities we don’t always recognise, and many of us spend far too long underestimating ourselves. I like stories that remind us there’s more to each of us than we think.
As a fan of a good mystery, I’m always drawn to the joy of discovery and the idea that everyone holds the possibility of something unexpected. Those elements have a habit of sneaking into my writing—whether I plan for them or not.

The Soulbound Universe

The Soulbound Universe explores the idea that true power comes from inner strength—not domination.
At the centre of the question of how power should be used, and what happens when it’s twisted into something it was never meant to be. Some characters try to control and manipulate others using that power, believing strength comes from winning. Others learn that real strength comes from understanding, honesty, and self-belief.
The Soulbound series is planned as five books, following the journeys of Bertie, Maren, Simi, and Leonard across the continent of Alentirra as they fight to protect the world they grew up in—and the people they love.
Across the series, the story explores:

  • embracing who you are, even when it sets you apart

  • questioning systems that rely on control

  • discovering your own inner strength

  • learning that power is not about domination, but resilience and courage

Soulbound is ultimately a story about growth—about realising that you are powerful in your own right, and that change begins when you choose not to accept things simply because “that’s how they’ve always been.”
