Sue Deeble is an Australian author writing middle-grade and young adult fantasy. The Soulbound Mystery is her debut novel and the first in a planned series set within the Soulbound Universe.
She grew up reading Enid Blyton, Trixie Belden, and Nancy Drew, and was drawn early to stories that blended mystery and adventure with young people trusting their instincts—especially when something didn’t feel right. That influence carries through her writing, which centres on courage, individuality, and the quiet strength it takes to stand apart, make your own choices, and delight in the magic woven through ordinary moments.
Alongside writing, Sue has a long-standing interest in archaeology, fossicking, and uncovering hidden histories, as well as creative pursuits including painting and cake decorating. She balances her creative work with a professional career in insurance.
She lives in Australia, where she continues to develop the Soulbound series and explore stories that encourage readers to embrace who they are, trust their inner strength, and remain curious about both the magic and the truths hidden in the world around them.
